Eastfield Academy - Classes
Our Academy Values underpin everything we do in school. As part of the Eastfield Academy Family all members of the school community should demonstrate they understand and adhere to the shared values:
Ambition, Aspiration, Respect, Courage
The Learning Environment
We believe a contributing factor to the high standard of behaviour at Eastfield Academy is the high level of engagement and motivation due to the high standard of Learning and Teaching within the school. We support children to think positively about their learning and to employ a ‘Growth Mind-set’ approach which helps every child strive to be the best they can be in all areas of school life. This helps to support the development of positive emotional intelligence within school thus impacting on their own and others’ learning and behaviour.
We encourage all members of our school community to remember to always:
Believe with all your heart
Achieve with all your might
Succeed beyond your wildest dreams!
As in mainstream school, our classes work on the National Curriculum subjects. We concentrate on working in different ways: using whole class teaching, small group, paired and individual approaches. We carefully adapt our teaching so that pupils can access the curriculum and we have developed a range of techniques and strategies to ensure this.
Our classes for the academic year are as follows:
NRR – Miss Willmett
RNW – Mrs Gadhia
1AF – Mrs Ford
2JH - Mrs Wizard
3SR – Mrs Russell
4SJ – Mrs Jelley
5SC – Mr Crick
6DS – Mr Thomas
Headteacher – Mrs Mills
SENCo – Mrs Russell
All classes are equipped with computers and interactive whiteboards, these are used to enhance and enrich the curriculum. This includes supervised use of educational sites on the internet. We also have a range of laptop computers, used across the academy which allow many opportunities for the children’s learning, as well as for whole class ICT teaching.
