Eastfield harmonise with the Young Voices choir
Eastfiled Academy performed in front of thousands of people as part of Young Voices, the world’s largest children’s choir.
After weeks of rehearsals, the pupils sang a coordinated line-up of songs alongside 7,000 other primary pupils at the LG Arena in Birmingham. The event also featured an acclaimed conductor, a live band and chart-topping artist, Lucy Spraggan.
Cianna, a pupil at Eastfield Academy, said: “It was a once in a lifetime trip!”
Emily added: “It was a great experience and really exciting!”
Young Voices aims to inspire children to develop a passion for music and build their confidence and self-esteem.
Chris Hill, Headteacher, said: "I would like to thank all the children for putting such marvellous effort into their singing and dancing. It was a memorable occasion for them all.
“Finally, thanks to Mrs Kirkwood for organising, planning and giving up her time to give the children such a wonderful experience. Special thanks to the parents who joined us and you looked great doing your dance moves!"
