Residential sees pupils at Eastfield Academy excel

Pupils at Eastfield Academy tested their bravery during an adventurous residential at the Frontier Centre.

Led by Rock UK, the Key Stage 2 pupils experienced a number of exciting outdoor activities including kayaking, rock climbing and going on a zip wire.

Abdullah, Year 4, said: “We had so much fun on the whole residential, it was one of the best things in my life. I'd never been on a three day trip before.”

In the evenings the children took a break from the action by getting the real camping experience toasting marshmallows by the fire.

Chris Hill, Headteacher, commented: “Rock UK was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils. As well as learning new skills, this week was very much about team-building and learning to adapt to new situations.

“I feel extremely proud of all the pupils that took part. I know they have made a lot of lasting memories and developed a new passion for the outdoors.”
