Eastfield Academy

Eastfield Academy is part of the David Ross Education Trust and is a good and rapidly improving school where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Our aim at Eastfield Academy is to 'Broaden Horizons'.

As part of this our pupils have the opportunity to choose extracurricular activities.

Throughout the year children can join a variety of clubs at lunchtime and after school.

The pupils have the opportunity to choose a range of extra-curricular activities and can join a variety of clubs such as:

  • Dance
  • Choir
  • Dodgeball
  • Multi-Sports
  • Cooking
  • Film Club
  • Girls Sports
  • Hockey
  • Running
  • Football
  • Netball

Our Year 5 pupils receive “Soundstart” lessons for a 10 week period.  Here they learn to play a variety of Brass and Woodwind instruments. Children also have the opportunity to have individual or small group tuition in piano, violin, woodwind or brass.

Our choir often perform outside of school, this may be as part of a Trust show or in our local community, for example at our nearby Morrisons supermarket.

Children are taken on class trips as part of their studies and there is an opportunity for a residential experience in Key Stage 2.

We also welcome visitors in to school to provide activities for our children and to deepen pupil's learning. examples include NSPCC speakers, our local vicar, Google, Bugtopia, police, nurse and more.
